How to Live

How to live

Take long night walks with the ones you care about. Pretend like someone is chasing you and run until you cant breathe anymore. Take time to lie down and watch the stars in northern Michigan. Eat smores and talk about memories. But don’t get caught up in the bad times. Ride bikes down

A trail and race. When you get too hot, go swimming in the river. Just make sure it’s as deep as you think it is before you dive in. Walk around town and drink a sunrise slushie. Preferably sour watermelon. Go fishing with family and not even pay attention to the poles, but instead each other. Embrace the time because before you know it, life will change. Take advantage

Of the weekends and sleep in. Don’t get up until the crack of noon. Prank call a pizza place. But remember to first dial *69 beforehand. Don’t get embarrassed easily, who cares what they think. Stay up late and watch infomercials as you try not to laugh uncontrollably with the person next to you. Spend the next morning wondering why it was so funny. Kiss

A fish just once. It makes for a good picture. Go tubing in summer and the winter. In Michigan, they’re both tubing seasons. Turn off the TV and take time to take pictures. Enjoy nature in the spring, and hate it when its 95 degrees. Go to the carnival even though it’s tiny. Play guitar with some friends. Write a song and put it on Youtube. While you’re still on Youtube,

Look up anything you want, you’ll find it. Date someone. Fight when you’re bored, and make up when you’re tired of fighting. Take a dog for a walk. Make the most of your childhood, because it doesn’t ever come back. Don’t forget the past, it’s what defines you. Just remember that to live your life; you must first define it.

  2. "In Michigan, they're both tubing seasons." So true. I really liked all of the specific things from Marine City, especially the walking around with a sunrise slushie.
